Privacy Policy

In short: We collect only what we need to run Seekr, we never sell personal data, payment details stay with Dodo Payments, we only process public posts (today mainly from LinkedIn), and AI providers can't train on the data we send them.

This policy explains what personal data Seekr collects, why, and what rights you have. It covers two groups: people who use Seekr (our customers) and people whose public LinkedIn posts appear in search results.

1. Data controller

LOLA DESARROLLO DE SOFTWARE Y COMUNICACIONES S.A.C. (RUC 20614786575), trading as Lima Research, Lima, Peru. We process personal data in line with Peru's Personal Data Protection Law (Law No. 29733) and its regulations, and, where they apply, other data protection laws such as the GDPR.

2. Data we collect about customers

  • Account: your email and password (stored hashed by our authentication provider), or your name and email if you sign in with Google.
  • Usage: the searches you run (service, location, time range), the opportunities you unlock and your credit balance.
  • Payments: card and billing details are collected and stored by Dodo Payments, not by us. We receive a payment reference, its status, the amount and your email.
  • Technical data: IP address, device and browser information in server logs, used for security and debugging.

3. Data about people in search results

When you run a search, we look, through third-party search and data providers, for posts that are publicly visible, today mainly on LinkedIn and in the future possibly on other platforms. For each relevant one we keep: the author's name, public profile link, the post text, its link and publication date, plus what our classifier infers from it (what they are asking for, their role or company if the post mentions it). We don't access private profiles, messages or anything behind a login, we don't alter the posts, and we don't build profiles of people across searches.

If you appear in Seekr results and want your posts excluded, write to us at the address below and we will remove them and block them from future results.

4. How we use data

  • To run your searches, classify posts by buying intent and show you the results.
  • To keep your credits, purchases and search history, and send receipts and account emails.
  • To provide support, prevent abuse and improve result quality.

We never sell, rent or share personal data for advertising.

5. AI processing

Post text and your service description are processed by a third-party large language model provider acting as our subprocessor, to generate search terms and classify posts. We only send what is needed to return a result, under terms that do not allow the provider to train its models on that data.

6. Subprocessors

  • Dodo Payments: payments, taxes and invoicing (Merchant of Record).
  • Apify and the data providers that run on it: retrieval of public posts (currently LinkedIn) for each search.
  • OpenAI: search term generation and post classification.
  • Supabase: account authentication.
  • DigitalOcean: hosting, database and infrastructure.

7. Retention

  • Account data and search history: while your account is open, and deleted within 30 days after you close it.
  • Results of a search: kept with that search, and deleted with your account or on request.
  • Billing records: as long as tax law requires.

8. Your rights

You can ask to access, correct, delete or export your data, and to object to or restrict certain processing (in Peru, your ARCO rights). Write to [email protected] and we will reply within the legal deadline. You can also complain to Peru's National Authority for Personal Data Protection or your local authority.

9. Cookies

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in. We don't use advertising cookies. You can block cookies in your browser, but you won't be able to sign in.

10. Security and international transfers

Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest, and access is limited to people who need it. Our providers may process data outside Peru, including in the United States; when that happens we rely on appropriate safeguards such as contractual clauses.

11. Changes

We will notify you by email about significant changes to this policy before they take effect.
